Sample Sunday Project Introduction!

Hi Friends!

So I have a MILLION samples. Okay, maybe not that many but I do have a lot of samples that I have received from my many purchases from Sephora. I usually get excited to try new items but for some reason I have really been neglecting my samples. Which doesn’t do me any good because sometimes you totally have to try a sample of something before committing to a full size item. I don’t really believe in returning makeup items since they have to throw it out for sanitary reasons, I just think its wasteful. You should do your research before purchasing makeup and skin care items. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes situations do call for a return. (PS. I am thinking of writing a post of items that I have returned to Sephora, let me know if you would be interested in that!).

Anyway, back to the samples. I have seen a video theme on YouTube called Sample Sunday and I wanted to give it a try! I think this series was created by Elle S but I am not really sure. She was the first person I saw it from so I just want to give her credit for being my inspiration. Essentially every week I will select 5 samples (from my big box of samples) and try them out. Ultimately, I would like to get an understanding if I like the items and if I would be interested in purchasing the full size of each item.

The first five items that I am planning to try this week (February 4th – 10th 2018) are the following:

1. Sunday Riley – TIDAL Brightening Enzyme Water Cream
2. Becca – First Light Priming Filter (Instant Complexion Refresh)
3. Yves Saint Laurent – Black Opium Perfume
4. Sephora – 10HR Wear Perfection Foundation
5. Clinique – Stay Matte Universal Blotting Powder

Stay tuned to next week where I will share my thoughts on each of these items and I will pick 5 more samples to use up in the following week! Let me know if you have tried any of these items and what you think of them!
