Advanced Clinicals: Vitamin C Exfoliating Clay Mask Review | Part 5

Hi Friends!

Today is Part 5 and the final post of my Advanced Clinicals Power Quad reviews. Last but not least, we will be discussing the Vitamin C Exfoliating Clay Mask. If you haven’t checked out my other reviews, please go check them out after this one! So far we have had great luck with the other masks in this series!

This mask is supposed to reduce the appearance of age and sun spots. It also claims to draw out  and prevent the buildup of impurities. Exfoliating masks are also meant to eliminate any dead skin that may be on your face and allow your skin to refresh itself.

Out of all the masks in the set, this one doesn’t have much of a scent. It does smell like a clay mask but not much else.

When applying, you should apply and even layer all over your face, massage for 20-30 seconds and then wait 10-15 minutes before removing. Something to keep note of is that you usually end up exfoliating a bit as you are removing the mask so if you have sensitive skin, try to massage the mask in less at the beginning.

When massaging, this mask is pretty gentle but you can definitely feel the exfoliating beads in it. Which I personally really like. Sometimes it is nice to have a physical exfoliate instead of just a chemical one. Similarly to the other masks, I could definitely feel this one working on my skin. It was slightly cooling which was nice. My skin did feel softer once removing but it didn’t particularly look brightened like I was expecting it to. Usually vitamin c will brighten your skin but it might require using this mask more often.

My one complaint is with how difficult this mask was to remove. It was a little worse than a normal clay mask. Even after I thought I got it all off, I rubbed my face and felt a few more exfoliating beads. It wasn’t the worst thing ever but it was a little annoying.

Overall, I really did enjoy this mask. I think it is good to use an exfoliating mask once in a while to mix up your routine. I definitely think this mask is worth the $10. It is not a mask that you would use all the time so it will last a long time! I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in an exfoliating mask!

Let me know if you have tried this mask before! What were your thoughts? I would love to know!
