Today we are talking about the ColourPop x ILUVSARAHII Through My Eyes eyeshadow palette! I wasn’t initially expecting to buy this palette but I kind of fell in love with the packaging and the colors in the palette. I didn’t know who ILUVSARAHII was before I bought this palette but now I follow her on Instagram and she seems like a really beautiful beauty influencer!
This palette comes with 16 eyeshadows, 8 matte / semi-matte and 8 shimmery! ColourPop also included a full size mirror on the top of this palette. For all of that, the Through My Eyes palette retails for $23 which is definitely pretty expensive for ColourPop.
I was SUPER drawn to the packaging of this palette. The theme of this palette is kaleidoscope vibes. Similarly to what Kristen Leanne collaborated with Urban Decay on but I think ColourPop executed it 10x better! The front of the packaging is a green and white kaleidoscope design and then the name of the palette is written in gold foil. The back of the palette has all of the names of the shades in gold.
The inside of the palette of course has the full size mirror. The bottom where the eyeshadows sit is a shiny gold shade so the shadows really pop. I LOVE the packaging, its beautiful!
The Shades and Swatches
In the first row, you have:
Lucido – This is a metallic light champagne shade.
Wild Soul – This is a muted mustard matte shadow.
Mesmer-Eyez – This is a orange gold shimmery shade.
Sandalwood – This is a soft cream beige matte shade.
In the second row, you have:
In A Walk – This is a muted baby pink semi-matte shade.
Euphoric – This is a matte peachy pink shade.
Canela – This is a muted brown shade with gold glitter flecks.
Lomo – This is a metallic coral red shade.
In the third row, you have:
Emerald Dream – This is a blue / teal metallic shade.
Muze – This is a metallic taupe gold shade.
Divina – This is a dark plum chocolate brown matte shade.
Flecks – This is a metallic silver / glittery shade.
In the fourth row, you have:
Nostalgia – This is a pink rose matte shade.
Moody – This is a dark teal matte shade.
Nocturne – This is a metallic rosy red pink shade.
Missbehave – This is a grape wine matte shadow.
There are a LOT of selection here! I like the variety of looks that can come out of this one palette. You can absolutely have a neutral look or a GLAM look from just these 16 shades.
Overall, I think this palette is great! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the dark green packaging. I think it really is beautiful! As for the eyeshadows, they have a similar quality to other ColourPop palettes. They are really smooth and pigmented and the metallic shades are super bright!
There are a couple of shades that appear patchy in the swatch and require a little extra effort when applying but I really don’t mind that at all. Those shades are Divina and Moody and that is just because they are the dark mattes in this palette. Still really pretty though!
I also think there are a couple of repeat shades in this palette. For example, Lomo is VERY similar to OOO from the ColourPop Sol Palette. And Moody is really similar to Water Bearer from the Dream St. x Kathleen Lights palette! Water Bearer is a little darker but they look basically the same on the eyes.
This palette is obviously really PRETTY! I think if you love the ColourPop formula and need some different shades in your collection then this would be a great palette. If you already have a lot of eyeshadow then this might not be anything new for you but I do still think you would like it just because the quality is really good.
Well, that is it for me! I hope you enjoyed today’s review. Let me know down below what you think of this palette!! Are you purchasing it or not interested? I would LOVE to know!
