I KNOOWWW that this palette was limited edition and is not longer available however, the cheek products within the palette are still very much available and that is what matters. This is the Benefit Cosmetics Cheek Parade palette.
Every year, Benefit releases a large palette like this one – the Cheek Parade came out in 2017. I have been so tempted to purchase the 2019 palettes which are called “Cheek Leaders” (there is a pink squad and a bronze squad). They are so cute and include a few new Benefit highlighters. But because this year is about shopping my stash, I pulled out this Cheek Parade palette to get some more use out it instead.
Cheek Parade comes with two bronzers, three blushes, and a short-haired brush. These are all powder products that Benefit sells separately but you get an amazing deal when you buy them in this palette. This palette retailed for $58 which I know is really expensive but it has a value of around $150.
The packaging of this palette is BEAUTIFUL! The background of the palette is teal and gold and then there are women walking in a parade on the front. Each of the women are “carrying” a boxed powder to represent what products are in the palette. It just is so unique and detailed – I love everything about it.
The inside includes has a good-sized mirror on the lid and then the cheek powders sit in the bottom. Just looking at the powders, make me happy! They’re beautiful!
This is the infamous Benefit bronzer – Hoola! I completely understand the hype for this bronzer because it really is beautiful and high quality. Its powdery and pigmented but also so easy to blend on the skin. Its one of the easiest bronzers to blend that I have ever used. It shows up really nice on my skin tone and just adds a good bronzy vibe.
I am really happy that Benefit recently came out with some darker Hoola shades because this one was the darkest they had and it works perfectly for light-medium skin tones.
The full size Galifornia blush is slightly different from the mini version. It has a gold overspray on it and a unique imprinted sun design. Its one of the prettiest blushes just to look at. The color is a bright coral shade. I really enjoy this blush in the spring / summer time.
It is really pigmented so I tend to soften my eye look so the blush can be the focus of my makeup. But I really do enjoy this blush, its fun!
Rockateur is one of the most wearable blushes in the palette. It just gives a soft warm pink hue to the cheeks with a little bit of sheen. I reach between this blush and Dandelion the most and even sometimes top Dandelion with Rockateur. It’s a pretty versatile shade.
I really enjoy using Rockateur – I like it a little more than Galifornia, just because it is more wearable on an everyday basis. I would rather spend my money on something I would get more use out of, if that makes sense.
Hoola Lite Bronzer
As I mentioned above, I am happy that Benefit is expanding their Hoola bronzer line. They have had Hoola Lite for a while for light skin tones but it must only work for REALLY light skin tones. I have really fair skin and this bronzer doesn’t work for me. You really can’t see it on me when I apply it in the usual bronzer spots on my face.
I still use this bronzer as a base for Hoola – I guess just so it has something to blend into. I don’t really need it but I definitely don’t want this powder to go to waste. I think it would work great on really pale skin tones.
Lastly, is the Benefit Dandelion Blush! This is my favorite blush in the entire palette! It looks like a bright pink in the palette but it is a more subdued pink on the cheeks. It just adds a healthy rosy blush look to the cheeks. Because it is my favorite, I definitely get the most use out of it. Its pretty pigmented so you don’t have to use much – it’s just a really nice blush over all.
My Final Thoughts
I LOVE this palette – it genuinely brings me joy to use! The quality is great, the value is amazing, the packaging is out of this world cute – I just really like it! I know that Hoola Lite doesn’t work for my skin tone, but it is still a great quality powder. If you think it would work for you, don’t hesitate on the quality.
These are some of my favorite blushes and bronzers in my entire collection! Plus they smell really good, I know that’s random but they do! As I am typing this, I want the new Cheekleaders even more!
Let me know down below if you have any of these box blushes or bronzers. Which ones are you favorite? I would LOVE to know!
