ColourPop Cosmetics: Count Me In Super Shock Cheek Blush Review!

Hi Friends!

ColourPop has absolutely blown me away with their Spring Collection that they just recently released. I just posted my review of the Sweet Talk palette and today we are talking about the Super Shock Cheek Blush in Count Me In!

This blush was also included in the Spring Collection and it was my very first Super Shock Cheek! There were six blushes released in this collection but I only picked up two, Count Me In and No Vacancy! Each Super Shock Cheek blush retails fro $8 and comes with 4.2 grams of product!

Count Me In is a soft pink matte blush. ColourPop describes it as “Our famous Super Shock formula has a bouncy texture that delivers a healthy flush of colour thatโ€™s weightless, buildable, and super blendable.”

The Packaging

Everything about the Spring Collection packaging is on point! This blush came in a small outer carton which has beautiful pink and peach flowers printed across it. There is also a little bit of holographic lining around the flowers. Then there are round cutouts on either side of the box so you can see the blush shade and the blush name. So cute!

The actually blush container is just a simple white jar with a screw on lid. The lid is clear plastic so you can see the shade and then ‘ColourPop’ is printed across the lid. I really like the packaging! It isn’t anything fancy but it does the job. Its cute and effective!

My Review

I have mixed feelings about this blush! The color is beautiful and I really like the payoff on my cheeks. It just adds a bright soft pinky hue of life in your cheeks. I really enjoy the color! My struggle with using this blush is just how difficult it is to pick up with a brush.

Because this is a creamy formula, it doesn’t pick up that well like a powder brush. I found myself digging into this blush just trying to pick up the color – it just got annoying. It doesn’t blend out that well with your fingers but it does work decent with a Beauty Blender. I just prefer to use a brush when applying blush.

But I can look past a little bit of frustration for the beautiful blush on my cheeks. This isn’t my everyday go to but I definitely see myself using it a lot! I really enjoy ColourPop products and you can’t beat the price!

Have you ever tried any of the ColourPop Super Shock Cheek blushes before? What are your thoughts? I would LOVE to know!

    1. Its definitely a pretty color and looks pretty on the cheeks. But yeah, I prefer to use a brush too and this was so difficult to use with a brush. I think their super shock highlights worth fine with a brush though! I haven’t ever tried the SS formula in an eyeshadow, believe it or not!

      1. Oh you need to try them! There’s so many great colors and they go on so shiny and bright ๐Ÿ™‚ I don’t like the matte ones as much because I struggle putting them on and blending them but the shimmers are amazing

  1. I had the same issue with my super shock blush! My friend Polished & Inspired said that she uses a super dense blush brush and it applies really well, I don’t know what kind of brush you’re using but I need to try that.

    The shade is really beautiful!

    1. Thank you for sharing that tip! I was using a softer blush brush and it wasn’t working at all. I have tried your trick though and it works better with a denser brush! I will keep that in mind when I reach for this blush!

    1. I didn’t expect it to be so difficult but Cleia (from Always, Cleia) recommended a dense brush and it works so much better than the brush I was trying to use. Not perfect but still much better!
