Hi Friends!

So I just posted TWO posts about all the items that I REALLY want to buy this holiday season. I admit that I get sucked into the good deals and the holiday packaging. There is SO much that looks appealing to me but there are also a lot of items that I am NOT interested in at all. So here is my anti-haul for holiday 2018!

Benefit Cosmetics – Vanity Flare Nude Eyeshadow Palette

Guys, this one makes me so sad. I LOVE Benefit Cosmetics and I was really excited for them to come out with an eyeshadow palette. I feel like Benefit Cosmetics can be so creative – I love their packaging and a lot of products that they come out with. But this eyeshadow palette is so boring! I wouldn’t mind another nude palette but this one is just so bland. I don’t even think there is enough variety in this palette. I just feel like Benefit could have done a lot better. I would have been all about it.

Fenty Beauty – Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond Veil

I know this highlighter is beautiful – they really do a good job making it look like a product that you could use all the time. However, when I really look at it – it just looks like a bunch of silver glitter. The more I looked at it, it just didn’t seem like something that I could get a lot of use from. I also don’t think it is the most flattering highlighting shade for my skin tone. But I might be interested in another highlighter from Fenty – I definitely can see how beautiful it is.

Anastasia Beverly Hills – Loose Glitter

Anastasia just released these new loose glitters and they do seem like a lot of fun and pretty. These just seem like a lot of work. I am definitely not the type of person to wear glitter very regularly. I don’t think I would get a lot of use out of these glitters and I would just rather use $15 to buy something else! I do think they are pretty and some people may really like them – I am just not interested in this.

NUDESTIX – Smokey Gold Eyes Mini Set

I don’t actually have anything from NUDESTIX so this isn’t about the brand or anything. I just don’t see myself using eye shadow pencils. They say that this little set has a $72 value which is ridiculous! The colors are just kind of boring and I just prefer powder eyeshadow. This set just really didn’t speak to me.

Sephora Collection – One Upon A Night Blockbuster

Do I even need to talk about why I am not interested in this? First of all, the packaging is just a big bug. It looks so incredibly bulky and I don’t really understand the shape of the packaging and the name “Once Upon A Night Blockbuster”? It just kind of looks like children’s makeup. When shopping at Sephora, I want luxurious beautiful makeup. Not this…. ESPECIALLY for $49! I understand you get a lot of product but I feel like the quality just won’t be worth it. Definitely not for me.

Natasha Denona – Gold Eyeshadow Palette

I might get a lot of hate for this one but this palette just looks boring to me. There isn’t a lot of color variation and I just feel like I wouldn’t get a lot of different eye looks out of this palette. Don’t get me wrong – I am interested in other Natasha Denona eyeshadow palettes but this one just doesn’t peak my interest. And its $129 which is crazy expensive!

Kat Von D – Fetish Eyeshadow Palette

Despite all of the Kat Von D drama that came out this year, I am also just not interested in this palette. I can’t relate to the theme at all but even beyond that, the color selection and layout just doesn’t speak to me. I thought her Saint and Sinner eyeshadow palette last year was really cool but I don’t see myself getting a lot of use out of this one.

Kat Von D – Fetish Blush + Highlighter Palette

Not to hate on Kat Von D this year but this palette just doesn’t look practical at all. I really don’t like that the pans for the highlighters and blushes are different sizes. But even if they are different sizes, why is the highlighter pans bigger than the blush pans? I use a fluffy brush for my blush and would prefer to have a bigger pan. But even beyond all that, the colors just don’t look wearable. I feel like this should have come out in spring where pastel colors could at least be appreciated but overall, I don’t see myself getting enough use out of any of this palette to justify buying it.

Although there are many other things this year that I am mentally anti-hauling – I am going to wrap up this post! I hope it goes without being said, but this is nothing against any of these brands. I can’t buy everything and somethings just don’t interest me! But at the end of the day, its just makeup!
